A full-service professional services and consulting firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their internal corporate accounting team. Responsibilities :
- Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Manage general ledger activities, including posting and reconciling journal entries.
- Conduct account and bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including monthly variance and annual reporting.
- Handle accounts receivable operations and ensure proper documentation.
- Utilize Sage 100 and Sage 50 software to streamline accounting processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide advisory services and support skill development.
- Lead full-cycle accounting tasks, including year-end closings.
- Perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations in all reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in month-end close, general ledger management, and journal entries.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage 100 and Sage 50.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
- Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and financial reporting.
- Ability to conduct variance analysis and interpret financial data.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- CPA certification or progress toward CPA licensure is preferred.
