TITLE : AWS Certified Welding Inspector
LOCATION : Marietta GA

POSITION OVERVIEW :
- As an AWS Certified Welding Inspector , you'll be integral to guaranteeing weld quality and compliance across fabrication and field installations .
- You'll support the Quality team-including senior inspectors and QA leadership-to uphold industry regulations, customer standards, and internal policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Conduct weld inspections (visual, NDE ) on pressure vessels, piping and heaters per AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, API, and client-specific WPS.Review weld procedure specifications (WPS) and qualifications.Execute non-destructive testing including MT, UT, PT, etc., as needed.Oversee quality audits and internal ISO 9001 processes.Generate detailed inspection reports and maintain precise documentation / logs.Interface with welders, supervisors and engineers to identify corrective actions and implement process improvements.Participate in vendor and jobsite inspections, domestically and internationally.Support new product commissioning, retrofits and system start-ups.Mentor junior QC staff; promote continuous quality improvement.QUALIFICATIONS :
AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credential required.Several years' experience in welding inspection within pressure vessel, power generation or thermal equipment fabrication environments.Strong working knowledge of welding codes : AWS D1.1, ASME IX, API, etc.Practiced in NDE methods (MT, UT, PT).ISO 9001 : 2015 internal audit experience preferred.Ability to interpret engineering drawings and welding documentation.Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.Willingness to travel (~10–20%) to vendor / customer sites.Ideal candidates will have experience with process heating systems.COMPENSATIONS & BENEFITS :
