Information on the division :
Located in Livonia, Michigan, the 130+ employee facility (100,000 sq. ft.) Beaver Aerospace & Defense is one of Héroux-Devtek’s centers of excellence for design, development, manufacturing, assembly and support of landing gear, actuation systems and other aerospace components.
As part of the Central Division, you will lead P&L responsible for critical machining operations of major commercial aircraft programs supporting Boeing, LockHeed Martin, Parker Hannifan, and military initiatives such as the B-2 Stealth, F105, and V280.
With a strong focus on latest technology of the manufacturing processes with machining automation and techniques we aim to remain the best value producer of complex landing gear components.

Main responsibilities
Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees.Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions.Implement and manage the principles of Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness (or Reliability), and Cost (SPQRC).Management of all manufacturing operations including machining, grinding, precision assembly, paint, and inspection.Manage daily production performance and effect change to improve overall output.Undertake business process analysis, statistical analysis for improvement projects and to support wider change.Excellent people skills while advancing continuous improvement and holding team members accountable.Manage new program introduction to the shop floor.Implement and support cultural change across the organization and drive business improvement.Analyze company processes and procedures to develop steps that enhance overall manufacturing strategies.Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends.Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers andother service providers.Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes.Stay current and up to date on any technology changes that may affect organizational productivity.Responsible for all department managers and supervisors, with review / approval responsibility for all operations employees.Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, process management, or engineering.A graduate degree in business or MBA would be beneficial.Eight years' experience in process optimization, operations, or business management.Manufacturing experience in a low volume high mix environment.Lean certification with practical application required.Experience developing employee training programs.Proficiency with TQM process evaluation techniques.Advanced skills with Microsoft Office and MRP systems.Work culture and environment
