Convenience Site Supervisor

The Convenience Site Supervisor will serve as the coordinator between the Convenience Site Attendants, General / Facility Manager, Supervisors and office staff. Ensure efficient and safe operation of the site to which assigned by paying attention to detail and maintaining a clear customer focus to serve the residents of the county to which assigned. Provide daily leadership and support to all site attendants.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide support and direction to site attendants in meeting the expectations, policies, contract obligations and standards of the company, county and residents.
  • Assist in resolving problems or completing requests of attendants and customers.
  • Serve as an attendant on site as needed and perform duties and responsibilities of a Site Attendant.
  • Schedule, coordinate and perform site maintenance duties including emptying wastewater barrels, tire containers, battery containers, etc.
  • Monitor the number of hauls from the sites and ensure the tonnage in containers is at or near maximum weight.
  • Perform a site inspection bi-weekly.
  • Ensure that all sites are open and fully staffed the required 64 hours per week.
  • Maintain summary of each Site Attendant's work schedule.
  • Monitor performance of all site attendants and their compliance company standards and policies. Report discrepancies to the General / Facility Manager with recommendations to correct or resolve. Assist the General / Facility Manager with Site Attendant performance evaluations and other personnel matters.
  • Must be available to work weekend hours.
  • Must have reliable and accessible transportation.
  • Conform in all respects with applicable federal, state / provincial and local laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
  • Requirements :

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one (1) to three (3) months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License
  • Minimum two (2) years satisfactory driving experience of large vehicles desired.
  • Obtain commercial license to spray regulated agricultural materials.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Ability to operate any vehicle or equipment necessary to perform job.
  • Ability to communicate in writing and verbally with others.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and apply to job.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple correspondence and instructions such as company policies and procedures, etc.
  • Ability to apply common sense reasoning to carry out uninvolved written and / or oral instructions and to solve general problems.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under limited supervision.
  • Ability to regularly lift / move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift / move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift / move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in usually loud conditions.
  • Physical / Mental Demands :

  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, balance, taste, and smell.
  • Visual Requirements : include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to regularly lift / move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift / move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift / move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in usually loud conditions.
  • Working Conditions :

  • Frequently exposed to loud noise, humidity, hot and cold weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, vibration, toxic and caustic chemicals, fumes and airborne particles.
  • Occasionally work in high precarious places.
  • Work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • Work in outdoor environment 90% of the time.
