Virtus Healthcare Staffing is supporting the recruitment efforts for an open Labor & Delivery RN position at a leading Level 4 Maternal Designated Facility in Houston, TX.
This is a full-time nights position at one of the busiest and most advanced women's hospitals in Texas, offering a dynamic and supportive environment for Labor & Delivery nurses ready to grow their careers.
Requirements :
Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing (BSN preferred).
Current State of Texas RN license or compact license to practice professional nursing.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Additional certifications may be required depending on unit needs.
Minimum of 1-1.5 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience preferred.
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities :
Provide comprehensive nursing care for Labor & Delivery patients, including assessments, treatments, and patient education.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care throughout labor and delivery.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, including discharge and transfer planning.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in medical records.
Mentor and precept less experienced nurses to support professional development.
Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and uphold regulatory and professional standards.
Promote a culture of safety and compassionate care for patients and their families.
