What is the Opportunity?

We are seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer with experience supporting Power Generation and Heavy Industrial Projects in our Mt. Laurel, NJ office. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical system design for major power generation projects from conception through construction, start-up, and commissioning.

Projects include new build simple and combined cycle power plants, nuclear projects, and plant retrofits across the United States, requiring comprehensive mechanical engineering and design expertise.

What You'll Do Here

  • Perform equipment sizing, pipe sizing, and piping pressure loss calculations to support piping and instrument diagram (P&ID) development and procurement specifications.
  • Support the development of engineering drawings such as equipment arrangements, piping orthographic, and isometric drawings.
  • Develop and maintain engineering lists including equipment, lines, valves, and inline devices.
  • Develop material and workhour estimates to support proposals.
  • Exercise sound engineering judgment to assess complex issues, review work for accuracy and compliance with codes and standards.

What You Bring To The Team

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • At least 8 years of experience designing mechanical water, steam, air, gas, and oil systems for power generation projects.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license in any US state; additional licenses via reciprocity are a plus.
  • Strong computer analysis skills.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with excellent problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Note : Due to the nature of our work, candidates must be US Citizens or Permanent Residents.
