Security Officer - Logistics Distribution Access

As a Security Officer - Logistics Distribution Access in Northampton, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and managing badge access for all personnel and visitors. Your presence will support a welcoming atmosphere, as you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while conducting routine patrols and remaining visible throughout the site. Pay Rate : $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Mon 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM Tue 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM Wed 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM Thur 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM Fri 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following appropriate protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious activities.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client guidelines.
  • Communicate clearly with team members, management, and / or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Assist visitors, drivers, and staff at the location with access-related inquiries and provide directions as needed.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
