About the "Department"
The San Juan Cancer Center opened its doors on April 3, 2006, providing state-of-the-art cancer care closer to home for residents of a huge seven-county area in southwestern Colorado. About The Career :
The APP is defined as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP). The role of the APP is to assist in the evaluation and management of patients, with and without physician medical supervision in a fashion that demonstrates administrative and philosophical compatibility with Montrose Regional Health. Within scope of practice, APP will exercise autonomy in medical decision making and provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services. The APP may perform hospital rounding per the requirements of the patient census and in support of the physician / provider needs.
All About You :
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner program.
Current, or able to obtain, Colorado State License as a Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner.
Current certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants / Nurse Practitioner.
