Job Summary :
The Project Manager (PM) for Electrical Construction is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of electrical construction projects. This role involves managing all phases of electrical installation projects, from design and budgeting through to installation and final delivery. The PM will lead project teams, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Planning and Management :
oOversee the full lifecycle of electrical construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and implementation.
oDevelop project scopes, objectives, and deliverables, and ensure alignment with client expectations and company standards.
oManage project timelines and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Team Leadership :
oLead and mentor a team of project managers, subcontractors, and field personnel to achieve project goals.
oAssign tasks and manage workload to optimize team efficiency and ensure quality deliverables.
Client and Stakeholder Communication :
oServe as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
oPrepare and deliver regular project updates, status reports, and presentations to clients and management.
oResolve any client or contractor issues quickly and professionally.
Budget and Financial Management :
oDevelop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial performance.
oMonitor and track project expenses, approve invoices, and manage change orders as necessary.
oIdentify potential cost-saving measures and value engineering solutions.
Safety and Compliance :
oEnsure that all electrical work complies with local, state, and federal safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
oPromote and enforce a safety-first culture across all teams and contractors.
oConduct safety inspections and audits, address safety violations, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Risk Management :
oIdentify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
oResolve project issues promptly, proactively addressing potential challenges that may impact timelines, quality, or safety.
oEnsure adherence to the project schedule, mitigating delays and disruptions as needed.
Contract Management and Procurement :
oNegotiate and manage contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
oOversee procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and proper quality control.
oManage change orders and contracts, ensuring that all modifications are properly documented and agreed upon.
Quality Control :
oEnsure the electrical work meets the required standards of quality, precision, and safety.
