Security Officer - Armed Telecom Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Telecom Patrol in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availabilitygiving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech and media location, helping to deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication and professional conduct. Position Type : Part Time

Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance, be 21+ years of age, and have a DCJS Armed Guard Card

Pay Rate : $27.31 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Sat 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Sun 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas, verifying credentials as required for a technology-focused environment.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and / or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal policies.
  • Collaborate with onsite personnel and law enforcement as needed to address security-related incidents.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times, adapting to the unique requirements of a technology, media, and telecom environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possess an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
  • Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
