Field Services Senior Engineer III

Thompson Engineering is seeking a highly experienced Field Services Senior Engineer III to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the integrity and performance of construction projects through expert review, technical problem-solving, and materials engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Review construction materials testing reports and field inspection results for compliance with specifications and standards
Resolve complex technical issues related to materials, construction methods, and site conditions
Engineer concrete mix designs tailored to project requirements and environmental conditions
Develop and oversee concrete repair strategies, including assessment, material selection, and implementation
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to communicate findings and recommendations
Mentor junior engineers and field technicians, fostering best practices and technical excellence

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field (master's preferred)

Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction materials testing and field engineering

Strong knowledge of astm, aci, and other relevant standards

Proven expertise in concrete mix design and repair engineering

Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills
