Patent Prosecution Associate – Intellectual Property

Locations : Silicon Valley (preferred), Washington, D.C., Boston, New York, Seattle

Direct Counsel is representing an AmLaw 100 firm seeking Patent Prosecution Associates with 2–4 years of patent prosecution experience to join its thriving Intellectual Property practice. This is an exciting opportunity to work with leading innovators in technology and life sciences while building a long-term career with a top-ranked, global law firm.

What We’re Looking For

Strong background in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, data science, or physics (or equivalent experience).

USPTO registration number required.

Superior academic credentials and a track record of professional excellence.

Outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Admission to the Bar (or eligibility) in the jurisdiction where the work will be performed.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary Range : $235,000 – $310,000 (commensurate with experience, education, and location).

Discretionary performance-based bonus eligibility.
