Janitorial / Maintenance Technician

JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for following the cleaning schedule for NWAFB facilities in a manner that is timely and complies with all rules, regulations, and guidelines to which the tasks are subject. The role maintains the cleanliness and operability of the warehouse, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum all floors and staircases.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and most areas within the building.
• Dust and wipe down all appliances, countertops, interior furniture, windows, and doors.
• Empty trash cans and recycling bins, and ensure proper disposal of waste.
• Clean exterior windows.
• Basic grounds care, including the use of a leaf blower and trash pickup.
• Refill paper towels, toilet paper, and soap dispensers.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and minor repairs.
• Responsible for ensuring facilities are clean, functioning properly, in good repair, and safety hazards are not present.
• Operate a floor scrubber, vacuum cleaner, electric power washer, push lawn mower, weed eater, and lawn blower.
• Submits issues to supervisor as they are found.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Follow all organizational safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES AND INTERACTIONS WITH OTHERS

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. However, the role will be expected to interact daily with coworkers and the general public.
