We offer specialized professional levels of care and support for residents including Short-Stay Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing Care, and Long Term Care services that are delivered by an experienced, thoughtful and professional staff who follow evidence based clinical best practices designed to promote health and safety and a commitment to deliver the highest level of care. Under the ownership of First Atlantic Healthcare, Dexter Health Care house follows in First Atlantic's long reputation for excellence in Long Term Care.\n\nNight Nurse Supervisor\n\nRequired : State of Maine Nursing license as a Registered Nurse (RN)\n\nOn-call rotation\n\n$12,000 Sign on bonus (RN)\n\n$6,000 Sign on bonus (LPN)\n\nWages start at $34.00 and increase with experience\n\nEarn robust overnight shift differentials up to $6.00 extra per hour\n\nOverview\n\nThe Nurse Supervisor provides leadership, clinical oversight, direction, monitoring and training for all nursing and nursing related operations for the facility during your scheduled shift including : clinical management of residents, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance with state and federal regulations, quality improvement and outcomes, policy and procedure enforcement, and achieving operating plan goals and nursing personnel (retention / training / supervision).\n\nEssential Job Functions\n

  • Ensure all nursing staff understand and follow their respective job descriptions.\n
  • Ensure that nursing practice complies with regulatory and legislative requirements.\n
  • Ensure sufficient numbers of licensed and certified staff are available each shift to meet regulatory requirements and provide appropriate care to residents.\n
  • Complete routine clinical rounds each day to ensure all staff are performing work assignments in accordance with acceptable standards.\n
  • Promote, establish, and maintain customer relationships with residents, families, staff, community, and other professionals.\n
  • Review complaints and concerns made by families, residents and staff, communicate these concerns including follow up with the managers, or Director of Nursing, or Administrator as appropriate.\n
  • Ensure policies and procedures regarding communicable diseases, infection control, and isolation procedures as well as other systems pertinent to nursing are followed and maintained.\n
  • Implement policies and procedures in collaboration with the Managers, Director of Nursing and Administrator.\n
  • Provide support for staff competence with Point Click Care (PCC).\n
  • Make written and verbal reports / recommendations to the Managers and Director of Nursing as necessary concerning the operation of the nursing department.\n
  • Assist and implement appropriate plans of correction for safety concerns identified. Ensure assessments, evaluations, and charting is completed according to policy.\n
  • Actively participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program as directed by the managers or Director of Nursing.\n
  • Participate in routine and daily care of residents to include but not limited to assistance with ADLs, meals, eating, functional maintenance plans / nursing restorative plans, and activities.\n
  • Complete and deliver assigned staff performance evaluations as directed.\n\nSkills & Abilities\n
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage high levels of stress / conflict.\n
  • Ability to lead by example, identify and address challenges proactively.\n
  • Must have ability / competency, and willingness to work as a direct care provider when necessary.\n\nPhysical Requirements\n
  • Ability to cope with mental and emotional stress of the position and effectively communicate policies, procedures, and reports to employees, residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies as needed.\n
  • Must function independently, as well as a member of multiple teams, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, employees, regulators, the public, and support agencies.\n
  • Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the nursing community.\n
  • Able to move at least 35lbs. without assistance, able to bend, sit, and work in small areas and displays stamina to assist residents where needed and in emergencies.\n\nAs you are caring for your Residents, you have access to : \n
