Job Details

Responsibilities :

1. Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.

2. Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.

3. Coordinate all audit activity.

4. Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the organization’s financial status.

5. Manage organizational cash flow forecasting by working in partnership with the executive leadership; continuously collaborate with the executive leadership to assess the financial efficacy of program operations and establish finance and administrative systems to support program operations.

6. Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.

7. Leverage strengths of the finance team members, help to clarify roles and responsibilities and develop and implement training programs in order to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA will be highly desirable.

2. 5+ years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, ideally in the restaurant or hospitality industry.

3. Proven expertise in finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and automated financial and accounting reporting systems.

4. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.

5. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.

6. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

7. Experience in a senior financial-management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.

8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software; proficiency in accounting software and experience with a software system implementation.

10. Exceptional leadership abilities with a hands-on, lead-by-example style.
