Job Title : Senior QA Analyst Manual & Automation Testing

Location : Austin, TX (Hybrid -local to austin)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

Key Responsibilities :

  • Write and execute detailed test cases and create comprehensive test plans.
  • Apply knowledge of software usability concepts, requirements traceability, and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Utilize Xray Test Case management tool for test case management and execution.
  • Collaborate with scrum teams in an agile environment to deliver software release sprints for HHSC on time, with a focus on quality using Jira and SharePoint .
  • Proficiently track and manage defects using Jira , categorizing and prioritizing issues to maintain a clear and organized record throughout the SDLC.
  • Write SQL queries to perform CRUD operations as part of testing activities.
  • Conduct API Testing using Postman , SOAPUI , JMETER , or similar tools.
  • Perform various types of testing, including unit, integration, regression, smoke, user acceptance, system, stress, and performance testing.
  • Utilize knowledge of code coverage tools, process or systems analysis, and design work.
  • Execute QA automation testing and scripting using UFT .
  • Develop and review performance testing scripts and analyze results.
  • Create detailed UAT test plans and test cases based on business requirements and record results post-execution.
  • Coordinate UAT schedules, communicate progress to stakeholders, and participate in test readiness reviews with recommendations for go / no-go decisions.
  • Self-driven and able to help the team achieve project goals and overall delivery milestones.
  • Work effectively both independently and collaboratively with sprint development teams.
  • Communicate with varied levels of staff and end users to develop positive and effective working relationships.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions about programs and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Accurately track time spent on projects and estimate changes or enhancements.
  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming is preferred.
  • Experience working with the State of Texas HHS agency and systems is preferred.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Experience in writing and executing test cases, as well as creating test plans.
  • Knowledge of software usability concepts, requirements traceability, and SDLC processes.
  • Experience with Xray Test Case management tool .
  • Experience writing SQL queries for CRUD operations.
  • Experience using CI / CD pipelines to enhance software development testing processes.
  • Experience conducting API Testing using Postman , SOAPUI , JMETER , or similar tools.
  • Experience in test automation using UFT .
