Overview :
Staxmatic is seeking a Project Engineer to support the successful execution of Mechanical and Plumbing projects. This role ensures project documentation, schedules, subcontractor compliance, and procurement activities are well-managed. The Project Engineer supports projects from pre-construction through close-out, working across estimating, field operations, and project management to ensure alignment on goals, schedules, safety, and cost controls.

Duties and Responsibilities :
Organize, track, and maintain all project documents, including contracts, submittals, and compliance recordsSupport subcontractor recruitment, onboarding, and qualification reviewsCollaborate with the legal team to manage subcontractor agreements and risk complianceEnsure each job site is staffed with qualified subcontractors and track crew presenceMaintain and organize Job Safety Analysis (JSA) documentation and ensure complianceAssist with managing project schedules, updates, and critical path monitoringCoordinate and track shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals with internal and external stakeholdersSupport procurement activities, including material tracking and vendor coordinationAssist project managers with budget tracking, cost reporting, and change order documentationCollaborate with Operations in project close-outs, cost estimates, and engineering bills of materials to ensure their accuracy and completenessProvide support to project schedule, this includes schedule maintenance and utilizing Gannt chartAttend project meetings; prepare and distribute minutes according to standard format and follow-up on action itemsOther duties and projects as assignedRequirements :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, or other related fields.3-5 years of experience in commercial construction and / or MEP / HVAC and infrastructure design.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and / or Civil 3D. Experience with surveying is a plus.Strong communication skills for reporting and collaboration.Ability to analyze and solve complex problems in MEP / HVAC and infrastructure design.Mathematical proficiency for quick on-site calculations.Effective time management in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.Leadership abilities to guide teams and coordinate project execution.Why Join Staxmatic?
