General Summary & Scope

The Specialty Artist - MAC is responsible for maximizing sales for the MAC brand (color cosmetics, skincare, fragrance) by engaging guests, determining their needs, assisting them in the selection and purchase of merchandise, and maintaining store standards including cleanliness and replenishment. The role supports both guest service and company processes, aligning with Ulta Beauty’s mission, vision, and values.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performance

• Meet or exceed MAC brand sales and service goals while contributing to overall store sales, loyalty, and retail shrink objectives.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, actively cultivating a preferred guest list and following up on inquiries.
• Provide exceptional service by greeting, engaging, sample offering, and recommending complementary products or services.
• Conduct professional, calibrated makeup demonstrations, applications, lessons, skincare analyses, and product demonstrations in accordance with MAC and Ulta Beauty standards.
• Complete required Skill Certification sets and remaining skill sets within the specified time frame.
• Keep guests informed of promotions and marketing initiatives across all categories and departments.
• Schedule and support services and in‑store events that enhance guest experience while driving MAC brand and store sales.
• Stay informed about new industry trends, products, and services and communicate their benefits to guests.
• Maintain regular attendance.

Pay & Benefits

Pay range : $20.00 - $30.00 / Hour, based on education, experience, and business needs. Eligible associates earn overtime pay per applicable law and benefit in full‑time positions with paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits. Part‑time associates are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
