Our client, a prominent AmLaw 200 firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join their Intellectual Property group in Tampa . The ideal candidate will have experience in patent and trademark prosecution, as well as IP transactions.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record .
- Bar Admission in Florida.
- 2–5 years of substantive experience in patent and trademark prosecution and IP transactions .
- USPTO registration strongly preferred .
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and practical judgment are required.
- Experienced in negotiating and drafting intellectual property transactions and software agreements is a plus .
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day prosecution dockets and prepare USPTO filings .Conduct patent and trademark searches , prepare clearance opinions / advice , and respond to office actions responses .Negotiate and draft IP transaction and software agreements .Conduct IP due diligence for M&A transactions and prepare related documentation.Maintain effective communication with clients and collaborate with other lawyers within the firm.Why Join Us?

Compensation & Benefits
