American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a Home Health position requiring at least one year of independent home health experience and a valid state OT license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Home health setting serving adult patients in Lakeland, Polk CountyDay shift, 5x8-hour schedule from 8 : 00 to 17 : 00Patient population includes med / surg, cardiac, ortho, post-surgical, respiratory, neuro, trauma, and advanced ADLsHome skilled visits with a minimum of 6 points per day, typically 6-8 visits dailyCare provided to Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance patientsUse of laptops, MiFi for internet access, and portable printers providedCharting done via BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet; experience with Cerner preferredSelf-scheduling of visits and hours based on HomeCare office needsDuties include evaluation, activities of daily living training, cardiac rehab, edema massage, feeding techniques, splinting, TENS use, ultrasound, orthopedics, prosthetics / orthotics, standardized assessment, joint mobilization, home exercise program development, and patient / family educationResponsible for billing, documentation, and safety / injury preventionSelf-scheduled hours allow for flexibility based on caseload and manager discretionMust adhere to a 100-mile minimum distance from the facility to qualify for the positionAssigned solid color scrubs as dress codeFacility is smoke-freeMust pass a pass / fail EKG exam (up to 3 attempts)Completion of electronic onboarding modules required prior to start and annually thereafterReturn staff policy requires a 1-year waiting period before returning as a travelerNo RTO accepted in contract; any time off must be discussed with the manager onsiteTravelers may float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby\n \n Requirements\n
