Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $85580 - $113451.8. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Are you passionate about Product Engineering? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Fuses and Circuit Switchers function. As a Mechanical Engineer II, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team.

S&C is the specialist in high-voltage switching, protection and control, providing products for the electric power industry since 1911. Product Engineering-Fuses and Circuit-Switchers is responsible for the design, application and support of fuse products including SM-4 / SM-5 Fuses, SMD Transmission Fuses, Fault Fitter, Fault Tamer, Fuse Links, and Circuit-Switcher products including Series 2000, Mark V and Mark, VI, Line-Rupter and Trans-Rupter II.

For this role we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer II to join our Fuse Product Engineering team. You will be responsible for leading engineering efforts for mechanical and electrical design. You will work closely with the Quality, Manufacturing, Global Sourcing and Operations teams to address quality and reliability concerns on the assembly line. You will be required to perform validation testing to qualify parts from new and / or secondary source suppliers. Validation and verification testing will be required as new equipment is introduced into the Assembly operations. You will need to be detailed oriented and have strong organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and communicate customer needs with external consultants as well as with S&C's Sales teams. If you enjoy being introduced to new challenges and are interested in combining your design skills with hands-on problem solving in a fast paced environment, then this role is for you. The position reports to the Manager of Product Engineering for Fuses and Circuit-Switchers.
