FIC America Corp. is a global Tier 1 automotive components manufacturer centrally located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. We are actively seeking a Metal Stamping / Press Supervisor to coordinate the stamping department activities of team leaders and other employees under the direction of the Stamping Manager.
Essential Job Functions
- Direct and assign work schedules, assignments, tasks, and duties and make changes when necessary to meet objectives
- Oversee activities of production and operating employees under the direction of the Manager
- Gather and analyze information from work sites to identify root causes of business issues and Employ 8-Step problem solving to resolve problems to result in continual improvement
- Monitor results and processes to proactively maximize production and eliminate waste
- Train and develop team members and team leaders to promote growth, advancement, and meet company needs
- Complete necessary documentation, such as status changes, time-off requests, incident reports, and performance evaluations
- Interpret work orders, specifications, and company policies and procedures for employees
- Effectively collaborate and maintain productive working relationships with other managers, supervisors, team leaders, and team members
- Assist manager in developing and implementing standard work instructions and identify potential areas of improvement to management
- Perform other duties as assigned

5+ years of experience in a leadership role, ideally in a stamping / press manufacturing operationExposure working with presses is preferredExperience working in automotive industry is a plusPosition is for 2nd shift, with an approximate start time of 4 : 30pmERP system experience is a plusMust have proficient oral and written communication skillsMust have basic computer skillsMust be willing to cross-trainPay Range $60,000 – $80,000 / year based on qualifications and experience
