We’re seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Golden Valley, MN. In this role, you’ll be responsible for a variety of accounting functions across multiple business units. These functions include monitoring of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, preparation of year-end audit work papers, preparation of monthly financial statements, monthly reconciliation of the balance sheet, sales tax filings, and other financial operations. The primary role is to provide accurate and timely financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing monthly reports.
Key Responsibilities :
- Performs monthly reconciliations of asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Including analysis of general ledger accounts.
- Lead and support Accounting Assistants, providing guidance and oversight.
- Acts as a role model in Department and with internal business partners, demonstrating sound professional judgment, initiative, competence, efficiency, ethical behavior, collaborative problem-solving and a customer-service orientation.
- Provides general accounting assistance to Accountants and Business units.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
- Proactively identifies solutions to discrepancies in financial records.
- Verifies, allocates, posts and reconciles Accounts Payable and Receivable.
- Follows company processes and accounting best practices.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and year-end audit work papers.
- File sales tax returns and review quarterly payroll tax filings (ADP WFN).
- Initiate bank transfers and perform bi-monthly payables check runs.
- Reviews and recommends modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
- Daily cash reports back-up.
- Liaison between Accounting and other departments.
- Other duties as needed.
What You’ll Bring :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to make the best decision in solving problems.Keen eye for errors and inefficiencies and the ability to resolve them quickly.The flexibility to work independently with little supervision as well as in a team setting.Must take initiative to help out when necessary to support others on the team.Maintains financial security by following internal controls.Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize and meet time-sensitive deadlines.Ability to work under pressure and tight schedules.Extensive interaction with multiple business units requiring strong ability influence without authority.Benefits :
