Brief Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION :
This position helps design, implement and communicate financial programs for members of our Credit Union. They may confer with partners as well as members in person or over the phone as they assist members for financial security. This position explains the complicated nature of investment, insurance and retirement packages to members / partners in a clear, concise fashion. This position will file and process any documentation in accordance with federal and company regulations. This position will also frequently manage electronic databases and work with complex spreadsheets. Financial plans have many options, so this position is able to explain and design plans that work best for our members' future plans.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :
LANGUAGE SKILLS :
Ability to read and interpret documents produced by the data processing system, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to read and comprehend rules and regulations that pertain to the areas of responsibility of this department. Ability to speak effectively before groups of managers, partners, or directors of organizations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
REASONING ABILITY :
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES :
Knowledge of all Credit Union departmental procedures and ability to adjust to conform to policy changes. Ability and willingness to work alone, as well as irregular hours and / or days. Ability to operate a PC (personal computer), including input, output, and inquiry to member accounts and other account information required to assist a member. Ability to operate standard office equipment and tools, such as postage machine, fax machine, telephone, copier and computer printer. Familiar with the differences in products and services offered by the Credit Union and be able to differentiate between these services and those offered by other financial institutions.

While performing the duties of this job, the partner is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk and hear. The partner frequently is required to walk and sit. The partner is occasionally required to stand, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The partner must occasionally lift and / or move up to 15 pounds.
MENTAL DEMANDS :
The partner is frequently required to use alertness, precision, resourcefulness, problem solving, numeric, persuasiveness, auditory perception, memory, creativity, concentration, judgment, writing ability, reading ability, reasoning, imagination, initiative, patience, visual perception, comparing and analyzing.
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a partner encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
REGULATORY COMPLIANCE & CONFIDENTIALITY :
Follows regulatory and policy compliance requirements, which would include those efforts in compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Regulations, and other compliance related Policies. Also, this position requires maintaining confidentiality with regard to non-public information about our members and Notre Dame Federal Credit Union.
