Microsoft Systems Administrator

A recognized services company is actively seeking a new Microsoft Systems Administrator to join a dedicated team onsite in Oakridge, TN.

This role requires onsite presence 5 days a week.

Responsibilities :

Design, deploy, and manage Hyper-V Clusters, including shared storage, disk configurations, and load balancing

Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux environments

Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and system management

Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to support Fortinet switches, routers, firewalls, and access points at the facility

Perform intermediate-level network engineering tasks, including cabling, configuration, and diagnostics

Monitor system performance, ensure uptime, and implement proactive maintenance strategies

Maintain documentation for systems architecture, configurations, and procedures

Provide on-site support 5 days per week, ensuring rapid response to manufacturing needs

Qualifications :

Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Microsoft Systems Administrator

Proven expertise with Hyper-V Clustering in production environments

Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, and PowerShell scripting

Working knowledge of network engineering, including cabling and basic switch / router configuration

Experience with Fortinet network devices (switches, routers, firewalls)

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Desired Skills :

Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or Fortinet NSE

Experience in manufacturing or industrial IT environments

Familiarity with SAN / NAS storage systems and backup solutions
