Overview

Remote | Freelance | Weekly Commissioned Columns

We're seeking a freelance senior style and shopping editor to contribute 3-4 articles to our newsletter each month. This role calls for an exceptional eye and strong styling sensibility, and a clear aptitude for building cohesive wardrobes that speak to our savvy, high-spending Gen X and millennial audience. You must understand luxury fashion, personal style, and know how to curate pieces that feel relevant and wearable.

This is a remote freelance role. Hours are flexible. We accept applicants from any location. This role has significant potential for growth for someone excited to shape a distinctive voice in the fashion newsletter space.

What You'll Do

  • Write and style recurring monthly columns under our pre-defined editorial frameworks.
  • Curate tightly edited, high-end product edits tailored to our reader profile.
  • Present outfit and capsule concepts that balance aspiration with wearability.
  • Source shoppable links and ensure pieces work together cohesively.
  • Deliver copy that is sharp, concise, and engaging without heavy editorial rewrites.
  • Monitor trends and consumer stories relevant to our audience.

Must Haves

  • You have a clear editorial point of view. You can articulate sharp, original commentary beyond generic copywriting or predictable editorial buzzwords. We seek a unique voice to help set the newsletter apart from conventional digital fashion publications.
  • An exceptional eye and a high level of taste.
  • You're deeply immersed in the latest fashion zeitgeist. You subscribe to multiple newsletters, follow brand accounts, and have fashion news all over your algorithm.
  • You are organised and never miss a deadline. (We can be flexible around your other projects, and you can set your own deadlines.)
  • At least 5 years of experience in Fashion as a writer, data, consultant, editor, stylist or related role.
  • Nice-to-Haves

  • You are passionate about styling and getting dressed. You may have worked in styling roles, and your mind naturally thinks in terms of complete outfits.
  • Experience creating editorial visual stories, mood boards, and / or collages (on Canva or other).
  • Familiarity with the fashion and beauty Substack ecosystem. You subscribe to and read leading newsletters, or you understand the taste of Gen X and millennial high-spending, savvy shoppers.
  • An ability to tailor recommendations to the target audience.
  • Previous experience supporting or working in a shopping editor role with an understanding of how to optimise affiliate revenue.
  • A resourceful, proactive mindset. You are full of ideas and improvements and motivated to take ownership of projects.
  • To Apply

Please email liza.m.belmonte@gmail.com. Applications via LinkedIn won't be reviewed. Include in your email :

  • Your CV.
  • A few links to relevant work (newsletters, articles, shopping guides, or mood boards).
  • Details of your availability and daily rate.
  • Once you send your application over email, we will follow up with a writing exercise, which should take approximately 45 minutes to complete. This exercise will be a mandatory step to complete to be considered for the role.
