The Maintenance Planner will work on modifications of processing, packaging and facility equipment with optimal quality and efficiency.

Job Function Statements - Essential Functions :

  • Provide support to Process Improvement (PI) projects and participate on safety teams
  • Coordinate all maintenance activities
  • Maintain Preventive Maintenance program
  • Properly communicate with Production and Maintenance Departments
  • Keep good records of KPI and Goals
  • Keep track of Work Orders and re-route them properly
  • Work closely with Inventory stock operation
  • Maintain Data for equipment
  • Lead Improvement projects
  • Manage PM cycle and update if necessary
  • Plan and coordinate parts availability for planned WO's with Inventory stock room
  • Monitor the entire maintenance process and improve as needed
  • Assist other sides and share best practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

Required Qualifications / Skills :

Physical Requirements : the employee is required to stand for extended periods of time (duration of the shift, 8 hours or more); walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; bend continuously, or crawl. The incumbent must be able to climb stairs and ladders or step up onto a platform several times throughout the shift and is occasionally required to sit. The employee must be able to push / pull / lift and / or move 50 pounds. The incumbent must operate light motorized equipment, hand, and power tools skillfully and safely.

Work Environment : the employee is occasionally exposed to wet / cold conditions of 34 - 36 degrees and at times hot conditions; high, precarious places (ex : 25 feet above ground level for extended hours); and outside weather conditions (rooftop). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud, which may require hearing protection.

  • Good electrical and mechanical skills
  • Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance program
  • Required computer skills : MP2, D7i, Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Good leadership skills
  • Familiarity with Inventory stock room operation
  • Other Desired Qualifications / Skills :

  • Related Bachelor's degree or Maintenance Skills Associates degree
  • Ability to use multi-meter and other measurement instruments
  • Ability to troubleshoot PLC controls, such as Allen-Bradley and GE Fanuc
  • Ability to demonstrate proficient fabrication and welding skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic system
  • Bilingual skills (English / Spanish)
  • Experience :

    Required 5-10 years' experience in Maintenance field

    Education / Training :

    Minimum of a High School diploma / GED, some Technical School coursework, or Mechanical Certification (must have at least one of these three items to be considered)
