Ryder is hiring a CDL A Local Dry Van Driver in Owensboro, KY . A local truck driving job typically consists of transporting freight within a 200-mile radius, allowing the driver to complete their deliveries and return home the same day. Compensation :

  • Weekly Guaranteed Mimimum Pay : $1,360

50CPM with 2,500 miles per week

  • Stop pay : $11.00per stop with 5-15 stops per week
  • Drop & Hook Pay : $6.00 per drop & hook
  • Bonuses

    • Sign on Bonus : $2,000; paid out 1 / 2 at 30 days 1 / 2 at 90 days

  • Shutdown bonus : $2,000 paid in $1,000 increments
  • Safety Bonus Pays You Up To $250 Per Quarter If Applicable
  • Unlimited driver referral bonuses
  • Paid via direct deposit weekly

  • Start times Must be open to AM or PM due to bid system
  • Monday-Friday, some Saturdays
  • Route : KY to IN
  • No Touch freight Auto Parts

    • Equipment :

  • Trucks are 36 months or newer
  • Day cab
  • Dry Van 53With Swing Doors
  • 24 / 7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide

    • Qualifications

  • Must have a valid CDL A License
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle

    • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR

  • 2 years experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years experience within the last 10 years
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and / or procedures
  • Must live within 30 miles of Owensboro, KY
