Civil Project Engineer - Transit

Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Transit Engineer, PE to join our Transportation team in one of our Twin Cities metro offices. We are looking to add a Transit Project Engineer, PE who will help foster our mission that All People Should Live in Safe, Sustainable and Beautiful Communities! As a Transit Project Engineer you will lead and / or oversee transit engineering studies, preliminary designs, final designs, technical specifications and cost estimating related to bus rapid transit, streetcar, light rail, and multimodal / active transportation projects.

We are looking for candidates who possess a high capacity for self-motivation and can apply engineering and transportation engineering knowledge to a variety of projects. In addition, you must be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and staff from various agencies. This role can be based out of any of our Twin Cities locations and has the ability to have a hybrid work schedule.

What You Will Be Doing

• Performs detailed design computations
• Performs preliminary layout, modeling and design.
• Researches and prepares rough drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
• Assists with project design and preparation of plans and specifications and prepare cost and quantity take-off estimates.

What We Are Looking For

Bolton & Menk will currently not be providing visa sponsorship or Optional Practical Training Extensions for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Salary Range : $68,000 - $120,000 depending on years of experience and credentials

Bolton & Menk is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to specific geographic location. Bolton & Menk reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's or other status protected by local, state, and / or federal law.
