About The Position

Must-Have :
Associate’s degree in nursing required
Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
Description :
Assesses and reassesses young adult, adult, and elderly patients and applies the nursing process.
Demonstrates basic competency in specialized procedures and equipment.
Provides Pre and Post-Operative Care, including general, bariatric, orthopedic, trauma, neurosurgical, genitourinary, etc.
Manages pain effectively.
Cares for Chest Tubes and performs insertion.
Provides PEG, G-tube, and J-tube care.
Administers traction therapy.
Manages Perncutaneous, Sump, Jackson Pratt, or Hemovac drainage care.
Administers medications and specialized IV drips, including titration.
Performs IV Therapy and Waive Testing.
Conducts Transfusion Therapy.
Maintains accurate nursing documentation, including patient histories, conditions, treatments, responses, and assessments of changes.
Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity.
Maintains patient confidentiality and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious / spiritual needs of patients and families.
Functions as a patient advocate.
Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan.
Interacts professionally with patients and families, involving them in the creation of individualized care plans.
Reviews, revises, updates, and resolves care plans daily.
Formulates teaching plans based on identified learning needs and evaluates the effectiveness of learning, including families when appropriate.
Supervises other healthcare staff involved in patient care.
Monitors and allocates the work of others effectively.
Assists physicians with procedures as required.
Responds promptly to changes in workload to achieve optimal productivity and efficiency.
Participates in performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes, processes, and overall work environment.
Functions as a preceptor to orient new employees.
Engages in professional growth through educational programs, literature, in-service meetings, staff meetings, and workshops.
Maintains the operation of patient care equipment, ensuring it is properly functioning and adequately stocked.
Demonstrates flexibility, organization, and the ability to function under stress.
Meets all departmental specific competencies.
Performs housekeeping duties when needed.
Assists with patient transportation as necessary.
Adheres to dress code and safety protocols.
Follows infection control policies and personnel guidelines.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Serves as a team leader and role model for other staff members.
