Trial Expertise – Extensive experience leading trials as first or second chairTrial Preparation & Motion Practice – Proficient in preparing cases for trial and handling intricate motionsLeadership & Guidance – Capable of overseeing and nurturing paralegals, case managers, and staffDecision-Making & Forward-Thinking – Independent thought leader to propel the litigation team forwardThis position offers significant earning potential beyond a competitive base salary, with high performance leading to substantial bonuses. Responsibilities
Represent Personal Injury clients in every phase of the litigation process : filing lawsuits, discovery, depositions, motions, negotiation, mediation, arbitration, hearings, jury trials, bench trials, and post-trial motionsOversee the handling of the cases from sign-up to an optimum resolution, whether by trial or settlementWork the time necessary to handle a heavy caseloadMentor litigation paralegals and case managers while maintaining a full caseloadYou may earn bonuses in multiple ways, so it is expected that your work will reflect a desire to earn moreSupervise litigation paralegals in the PODCollaborate closely with and provide direction for employees based overseasTrack the hours spent on each projectQualifications
Bachelor's degree with a law degree from an accredited law school, such as a JD, LLM, or JSDMembership in The State Bar of Georgia is required; additional bar memberships would be advantageousA minimum of five (5) 1st or 2nd chair jury trials in personal injury should have been handled, along with experience in bench trials, appellate work, motions, mediation, and arbitrationStrong written and oral communication skills – a writing sample is required, and experience with appellate briefs or similar documents is preferredProficiency in research, drafting, and negotiating is a mustThe candidate should demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamComfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines is necessaryA strong fighting spirit and dedication to advocating for optimal results in litigation are crucialCompensation
In addition to a generous base salary, the total compensation package, including origination bonus and performance-based incentives, can exceed $500,000 depending on your efforts, client origination, and incentive pay. Regular compensation reviews ensure competitiveness with the market, with bonuses awarded based on client origination and departmental productivity.
