Human Resources Generalist- On Site Ballinger, TX

The Human Resources Generalist performs professional-level duties across one or more manufacturing facilities. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the HR Generalist collaborates with plant leadership and HR teams to develop and implement strategic and operational human resources programs and initiatives.

Responsibilities include employee relations, workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, employee retention, coaching and development, conflict management and ad hoc initiatives. This role will manage onboarding and offboarding, serve as the HR systems and process owner and help provide day-to-day HR support, in partnership with the Director, Human Resources and the HRBP team. Occasional travel to sites within the business unit is required.

The ideal candidate will have HR experience in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational skills, strong communication and critical thinking skills. This position offers a great opportunity for someone to join the team and drive efficiency and effectiveness in the assigned plant location workforce processes and practices while continuing to develop their business partner skillset.

Key objectives and responsibilities include partnering with hiring managers, human resources business partners, and talent acquisition on coordinating recruiting efforts for the plant location, ensuring positive employee experience by serving as lead in partnering with hiring managers to deliver pre-start activities, owning HRIS transactions in Dayforce, understanding and utilizing HRIS system to assist with reporting on various workforce data and trends, serving as leave of absence point of contact, managing the employee off-boarding process, acting as a resource to both managers and team members by offering support and guidance regarding company policies and practices, participating and / or leading first-level employee relations investigations activities, guiding and coaching managers to deliver and track all counseling and disciplinary actions, acting as an employee relations specialist and participating in employee relations counseling, ensuring compliance with USCIS Form I-9 work authorization, ensuring internally equitable and externally competitive plant compensation practices including current rates, annual adjustments, promotions, etc., providing project management and administrative support, coordination, and planning efforts for local activities.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in HR, organizational development, business, or related field, 3+ years' experience in professional level human resources, experience and proficiency with HRIS or HCM related systems, experience and proficiency in Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), manufacturing or related industry experience, SHRM certification, highly accurate and detailed oriented, experience in managing employee relations and conducting investigations, skilled at creating and maintaining positive working relationships with the assigned workforce, results-driven, ability to work independently and confidently with sound judgment and decision-making.
