Ready to lead IT operations for a growing Birmingham company? Our client is bringing their IT function in-house and seeking an experienced IT professional to own their technology strategy and operations across 3 office locations. This will be an IT department of 1 to start.

What You'll Do :

  • Serve as the primary IT leader for day-to-day support, troubleshooting, and systems administration
  • Manage our complete technology infrastructure including servers, networking, security, and backups
  • Lead strategic IT projects like cloud migration, cybersecurity upgrades, and process automation
  • Provide hands-on support to staff across multiple locations, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Oversee vendor relationships, procurement, and service level agreements
  • Implement comprehensive data protection and disaster recovery plans
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term IT strategy, budgeting, and scaling operations

What We're Looking For :

  • 3+ years of progressive IT experience with leadership responsibilities
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Office 365, Windows Server environments, networking, and cybersecurity
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and multi-location IT operations
  • Proven track record in strategic IT planning and project management
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills combined with strong communication abilities
  • Self-motivated leader who can operate autonomously and build processes from the ground up
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology preferred, but relevant experience will be considered
