Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring a NJ or Compact license and BLS / ACLS certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a Med / Surg Telemetry unit with a 24-bed capacity
  • Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19 : 00–07 : 30)
  • Every other weekend (Friday / Saturday) required
  • Patient mix includes telemetry with a typical ratio of 1 : 5–6+
  • Floating required to other Med / Surg Tele units as needed
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • Experience with vital signs machine, glucometer, specialty beds, and defibrillator required
  • Must be available to work 2 out of 3 major winter holidays
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Clinicians expected to adhere to agreed schedule and not request changes onsite
  • Time off must be approved before acceptance; changes after offer are not accommodated
  • Return staff must be gone from the health system for at least 1 year before eligibility
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
  • Pre-employment completion of modules and Epic training required

  • Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of consideration
  • Minimum 1.5 years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry experience required
  • Experience with Epic charting system required
  • References required for consideration
  • Background and license must be clear of open or active issues
