This is a contingent position based upon contract award.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze the existing network architecture and provide designs of current / modern WAN / MAN / LAN technologies.Recommend best practices such as SDN, Intent-based networking, and network segmentation protocols to improve the architecture and meet networking requirements.Design telecommunications circuit specifications; identify the need for routers, switches, and encryption devices to support enterprise services.Deliver service catalog items for automatically provisioning network configurations to deliver Infrastructure-as-Code.Develop and maintain network architecture specifications and artifacts; design and plan network communications systems.Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.Conduct cost / benefit analysis and provide detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools to meet business needs, including current and future capacity requirements.Conduct testing of network design and monitor network hardware operations to ensure proper configurations.Plan enhancements and upgrades to the network; advise users on hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations.Maintain technical expertise in network and computer hardware and software interconnection (routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.).Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance network capabilities.Qualifications
Clearance Requirement : TS / SCI with willingness to sit for a poly upon request.4+ years of network configuration and management experience; 6+ years as a network administrator / technician.Must be a US Citizen.Bachelor's degree in computer science, network technology, software engineering, information security, or a related field from an accredited university; 5-7 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree.Proven expertise with network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, unified communications equipment.Proven experience in VMware environments and in virtual / physical IP and Fiber Channel networks and routing protocols.Proven experience designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting LAN, WAN and low-bandwidth networks protected by network encryptors.Information Assurance Certifications consistent with the 8570 IAT Level III.Compensation
Basic Compensation : $94,400 - $141,500
The offered rate will be based on the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and / or experience and internal parity.
Additional Compensation : KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation as per internal policy or contractual designation. This may include sign-on bonuses, relocation benefits, short / long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
