Responsibilities Work in the Emergency Department of a large, short-term acute care hospital Level I Trauma Center environment Assignment consists of four 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM) Average patient ratio is 1 : 6 for both days and nights Float required within scope to meet facility needs Travelers do not work in trauma / rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health units Epic EMR is used; experience preferred Weekend work required every other weekend No on-call required Assignment may involve rotation between campuses Provide emergency care in a fast-paced trauma center environment Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity setting Travelers are not assigned to trauma / rescue, triage, or locked behavioral health areas Block scheduling requests can be accommodated Return travelers must not have worked at the facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years Maximum of 7 days of requested time off will be automatically approved; longer requests require facility approval First-time travelers are not accepted for this assignment Scrub color or dress code will be provided upon assignment Parking is available for a monthly fee Requirements Active CT RN license required, or must be obtained prior to start Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience preferred; will consider 1.5 years if from a similar large trauma facility or with travel experience Prior experience in a large Level I Trauma Center necessary Pre-employment modules to be completed before start Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted COVID-19 vaccine and booster required unless exempted for medical or religious reasons Must provide at least one professional reference Candidates considered local if residing within 75 miles are not eligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619172.
