Responsibilities Work in a hospital Med / Surg Telemetry unit specializing in post-PCI, pacemakers, AICDs, post-MI, and cardiac pharmacological interventions 26-bed unit with patient ratios ranging from 1 : 5 to 1 : 7 Night shift position (3x12 hours, 19 : 00-07 : 00) Required to work every other weekend Holiday coverage required Candidates must be able to float to other units as needed Uses Epic for charting and documentation Provides care for cardiac telemetry patients, including post-PCI and post-MI cases Responsible for monitoring and management of patients with cardiac devices such as pacemakers and AICDs Team-based environment with expectation for collaboration and flexibility Scrub colors are any combination of navy and white Pre-start modules are required and may total up to 10 hours Return staff must have at least one year since prior employment at this facility Requirements Active NY RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration Minimum 1 year recent experience in Med / Surg Tele required Current BLS certification required Proficiency in Epic EMR is required Ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, respond to emergencies, and participate in Rapid Response / Code teams Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and non-invasive airway management Must live more than 75 miles from the facility for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-616682.
