Salary : $23.38-$26.30
SUMMARY : Under basic supervision, oversees and leads a variety of fitness programs and events; performs a variety of tasks in support of the assigned area and program.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

The job description is subject to change at any time by the employer. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Supervises and leads the day-to-day fitness class operations, programs and activities allowing plenty of time to build client relations. Arriving early to prepare for fitness class equipment distribution for each class.
- Must take attendance for assigned fitness classes including the number of participants and keeping track of program roster if applicable.
- Oversees, leads, and assists with various fitness related activities; observes participants during program; enforces rules and safety procedures; implements disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Participates in facility or venue set-up, clean-up, and sanitation.
- Supports the relationship between the Teton County staff and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with visitors and County staff; maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and County information; performs other duties as required or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education and Experience :
High school diploma or GED equivalentUp to 1 year of experience in recreation programs or working with childrenRequired Licenses and Certifications :
Must possess a valid Wyoming / Idaho Drivers License and maintain an acceptable driving record.CPR and First Aid Certification.Group Fitness Certifications through ACE, ACSM or similar certifying organization.Required Knowledge of :
Recreation site safety rules and regulations. Follows proper procedures for safety protocols.Recreation Instructors are responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming studio space for group fitness classes.Methods of program planning and implementation keeping in mind that all classes will be open to all abilities from beginner to expert.Principles, practices, and methods of conflict resolution and problem solving.Required Skills in :
Provides correct exercise modifications to diverse ability levels in all classes.
Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with coworkers and other individuals in contact during the course of work; communicating clearly and concisely.Assessing, prioritizing, and completing multiple tasks and demands simultaneously.Administering basic first aid and CPR.Physical Demands / Work Environment :
Work is performed both in an indoor or protected environment and outdoors. The incumbent may be occasionally exposed to unfavorable conditions while located at County facilities or at other locations during the course of business.Required to work routine nights and weekends as regular schedule.
