Overview

Technical Editor, Senior — The Opportunity : Critical decisions are made every day in the Intelligence Community (IC). Use analytical skills to help clients find and interpret the best data to provide actionable intelligence and context. This role involves producing all-source intelligence analysis to support national security and inform policymakers. You will work on client-focused products and assessments, with emphasis on time-critical recommendations and leadership in knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

  • Help clients understand their mission environment and provide clarity to investment assessment products.
  • Serve as the expert for time-critical recommendations, often under pressure.
  • Mentor and share expertise with other analysts; contribute to team learning and skill development.
  • Support the team in delivering the right information at the right time to meet critical needs of U.S. policymakers.
  • Produce all-source intelligence analysis through all stages of the intelligence production process.

Qualifications

  • Experience producing all-source intelligence analysis through all stages of the intelligence production process.
  • Ability to proofread, edit, and correct text for style and accuracy.
  • Ability to apply IC analytic standards and analytic tradecraft standards as defined in the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act, ICD 203 Analytic Standards, and ICD 206 Sourcing Requirements to the production of all-source intelligence products.
  • Ability to prepare intelligence assessments and written products with emphasis on logical argumentation and analytic clarity.
  • Ability to support shift work.
  • TS / SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience with technical editing, or 11+ years of experience with technical editing in lieu of a degree.

    Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS / SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

    Compensation and Benefits

    Boos Allen offers health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work-life programs, and dependent care. Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week are eligible to participate in benefit programs; others may be eligible for select offerings. Salary range : $77,600 to $176,000 (annualized USD). This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
