Wound Care Nurse Practitioner - 2 Days / Week

Korzen Health seeks a part-time Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) available for 2 days / week to lead the Wound Care Clinic program in the Naples, FL market area, in collaboration with Healogics and Physicians Regional Wound Care at Pine Ridge.

For over 25 years, Healogics has been treating patients with chronic wounds from over 600 hospital-based wound care centers across the country. Currently, Healogics treats over 300,000 wound care patients annually and has healed nearly 4 million wounds. Healogics is the worlds leading expert in wound healing.

This position is primarily coverage of 3 skilled nursing and long term care facilities, along with 7 nursing homes.  Candidates will be cross-trained to provide coverage at our hospital-associated center as well.  The clinic is integrated with Physicians Regional Wound Care at Pine Ridge, and the candidate will be employed by Healogics.  Our center operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM, with no nights, on-call duties, or weekend work. All patients are seen by appointment only; walk-ins are not accepted.

This is a procedure-oriented environment primarily serving geriatric patients. The successful candidate must possess at least 1 year of procedural background. Experience with minor procedures such as suturing, debridement, and / or incision and drainage (I&D) is required, and procedural case logs will be requested as part of the credentialing process. Other types of non-dermatological procedural experience may also be acceptable on a case-by-case basis.

Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Therapy training are available. A full clinical team will be in place from the start date.

Scope of Practice Highlights

• Full Team support includes Case Manager, Nurses, Office Manager, and Front / Back End Support
• We offer advanced wound-care treatments to promote healing, including : cellulitis therapy, compression therapy, infection management and prevention, wound cleaning, and wound dressing
• Teams will average approximately 10-15  patient encounters per day
• Standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. There are no night shifts, on-call responsibilities, or weekend hours

Clean and Active State license

Must be a Certified Nurse Practitioner

DEA License

Minimum of 1 year of NP experience is a must
