Job Title : Manufacturing Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to enhance and streamline the assembly processes for our optoelectronic products. This role involves improving product consistency, conducting experiments to refine production methods, and ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
Develop and refine production methods for assembling camera and laser sensor systems.
Create and maintain process documentation, including PFMEAs, control plans, and work instructions.
Set and monitor statistical quality targets such as SPC and Cpk.
Analyze production data to identify and resolve causes of defects or inefficiencies.
Design custom tools and automation software solutions to improve efficiency.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 / AS9100, ITAR / EAR, and customer-specific standards.
Investigate and resolve manufacturing-related defects and implement soft initiatives like Kaizen and 5S.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field)
3-5+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
Hands-on experience with automation and fixture / tooling design
Familiarity with Python programming
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
Experience with statistical process control and lean manufacturing principles
Background in semiconductor manufacturing
Understanding of software-hardware integration
Experience working with lasers and cameras

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Camarillo, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $57.70 / hr.
