Description :

This role involves providing occupational therapy services to patients.

The therapy staff services the entire facility.

The facility has an inpatient rehabilitation unit and an acute care hospital with an average census of 240 patients.

The unit features 15 occupational therapists including full-time, part-time, and PRN staff.

The expected patient ratios are 4 patients per day for the inpatient rehabilitation unit and 8 to 12 patients per day for acute care.

The type of equipment available includes two therapy gyms and an Activities of Daily Living (ADL) apartment.

The electronic medical record (EMR) system used is Meditech.

The most common procedures performed in this role include evaluation, treatment, and discharge.

Team conferences and family training are also part of the responsibilities.

Experience with stroke and neuro rehabilitation is highly preferred.

Candidates should be flexible, collaborative, and team-oriented.

A minimum of one weekend shift per month is required, with a preference for increased weekend flexibility.

Travelers are expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with the facility's staff.
