Security Officer - Healthcare Facility Patrols

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Facility Patrols in Chantilly, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming environment. Your visible presence and routine patrols contribute to a sense of comfort for all who visit or work at the site. You will provide outstanding customer service, assist with access control, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Pay Rate : $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Tue 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Wed 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Thur 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Sun 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to individuals at the healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when necessary.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or policy violations.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the healthcare location to help to deter unauthorized access and / or disturbances.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities according to site protocols, maintaining clear communication with Allied Universal management and site leadership.
  • Assist patients, visitors, and staff with directions or information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Support emergency response efforts such as assisting with evacuations or medical emergencies in accordance with site-specific procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
