Description :

High Side Technology is seeking an Information Security Systems Engineer (ISSE) to provide cybersecurity, systems engineering, system administration, and software development support to Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical cybersecurity advisor across software systems.
  • Lead the design and implementation of cybersecurity controls within application modernization projects.
  • Ensure and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) compliance throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Integrate cybersecurity / IA disciplines into system design, development, integration, and implementation.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend secure system / application designs.
  • Define System Security Requirements and apply security risk assessment methodologies .
  • Ensure information protection requirements are integrated into IT acquisitions and new system releases.
  • Develop, submit, and maintain Certification & Accreditation (C&A) packages .
  • Provide documentation / evidence supporting certification levels and compliance.
  • Test and validate security controls for effectiveness at each stage of development.
  • Collaborate with project managers to align cybersecurity with program goals.

Clearance & Eligibility

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Top Secret / SCI security clearance or current Top Secret SSBI with TS / SCI eligibility (CI polygraph may be required)
  • Experience, Education & Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (Master’s preferred)
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong background in cybersecurity, systems engineering, and system administration
  • Certifications :
  • CompTIA Security+ (required)
  • AWS Cloud Certification
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
  • Linux+
  • Microsoft Certifications
  • CISSP or CASP+
