New York Licensed Deputy General Counsel

A company is looking for a Deputy General Counsel to lead its legal function during a phase of growth in the digital asset market.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a senior advisor to the General Counsel and executive leadership on legal, policy, and operational matters

Oversee legal strategy for incubations across DeFi, market structure, and real-world asset integrations

Lead engagements with regulators and industry bodies on frameworks for digital asset innovation

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school and active U.S. bar membership

8+ years of legal experience, including significant in-house or fintech / crypto exposure

Strong working knowledge of securities, commodities, and payments law

Experience in managing teams and working with cross-functional stakeholders

Comfortable with ambiguity and deeply curious about the evolving digital asset landscape
