RN- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Manager (Day Shift)

Location : Austin, TX, 73301

Shift : 12 HR Days | 07 : 00 AM - 07 : 00 PM

Job Type : Permanent, Full-Time

Guaranteed Hours : (36 hours / week)

Compensation : Based on experience (Negotiable)

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee clinical operations and patient care in the NICU.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff to ensure professional growth and high-quality care delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state / federal regulations, and patient safety standards.
  • Develop staffing schedules, manage resources, and monitor departmental budgets.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and support evidence-based nursing practices.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and provide direct patient care when needed.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications :

  • Education : BSN required.
  • Experience :
  • Minimum 3 5 years of healthcare experience.

  • Minimum 2+ years in a supervisory role in an acute care setting.
  • Licensure :
  • Current RN license in Texas or active compact license.

  • If holding a compact license from another state, must apply for Texas RN license within 60 days and obtain the license within 6 months.
  • Certifications :
  • BLS (required).

  • ACLS (preferred).
  • NRP (preferred).
  • FHM (preferred).
  • RNC-OB (preferred).
  • Specialty certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
