SUMMARY OF POSITION

This position serves as a strategic liaison between Canon organizations and key opinion leaders (KOLs) at medical and academic institutions, fostering collaborative relationships to support clinical research and imaging innovation. The role involves coordinating site activities, overseeing the installation and refinement of prototype and early-release imaging products, and ensuring that clinical trials are conducted in compliance with FDA regulations, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and internal protocols.

Technically, the position requires operating Canon imaging equipment, optimizing scan parameters, and producing high-quality images to assist site technologists. Additionally, the role involves analyzing image quality metrics, identifying site-specific technical needs, and maintaining a knowledge base of emerging clinical trends. The specialist provides training and support to clinicians, ensuring that Canon’s imaging solutions are effectively integrated into clinical workflows and research environments. This position reports to the VP of Upstream Marketing & Partner Development

RESPONSIBILITIES

Site Coordination

• Establishes and maintains solid relationships with KOL at assigned luminary medical / academic facilities.
• Main point of contact between assigned sites and Canon entities.
• Support the installation, configuration, validation, troubleshooting and refinement of prototype and early release products.
• Responsible for monitoring initiation and progress of clinical research trials across multiple study sites.
• Ensures all clinical research trials are conducted, recorded, and reported in adherence to established processes and procedures, FDA regulatory requirements, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) research standards, and all other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Verifies data collected is accurate and complete to assist with development and monitoring of clinical evaluation projects for new product introduction.
• Provide training and support to clinicians and other healthcare professionals.
