Deerpath Capital is a leading direct lending firm specializing in providing first lien senior debt financing to middle market companies. Deerpath is focused on providing debt capital for acquisitions, refinancings, ownership transitions and growth capital to companies in the U.S. lower middle market. Deerpath has investment offices in New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and Fort Lauderdale, as well as overseas investor relations offices in London, Seoul, Tokyo and Brisbane. The firm employs approximately 100 employees globally.

Position Overview

This role is responsible for distribution globally, with a focus on the private wealth channel. While distribution may be focused within the U.S. initially, we are seeking to recruit an experienced leader in this segment of the investor market who will build a team globally to penetrate the wealth channel effectively. We are seeking to recruit an experienced professional with direct relationships, a strong track record of client management and / or capital raising in the private markets, and the ability to effectively communicate an investment strategy to prospective investors with the goal of raising capital. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Investor Relations, based in New York and have the following core set of responsibilities :

Primary Responsibilities

Investor Prospecting :

• Develop, build and maintain both existing and prospective investor relationships including but not limited to, community, regional and global banks, RIAs, fintech and other platforms, OCIOs, endowments, foundations and family offices
• Understand the different segments of the private wealth channel and investment needs of each segment, including types of fund structures
• Leverage existing relationships that would be a suitable fit for firm and strategy
• Generate and help manage pipeline of prospective investors
• Arrange introductory and follow up calls and / or meetings with prospective investors
• Track and help manage prospective investor follow-up
