Job Description

As a Security Officer - Cultural Patrol Rounds PT in Hyattsville, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a renowned cultural institution, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. You will interact with visitors and staff, provide exceptional customer service, and respond to various situations with professionalism and care. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any unusual conditions.

Monitor visitor and staff activity, reporting any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents according to established procedures.

Assist with access control by verifying credentials and helping to maintain authorized entry to designated areas.

Communicate professionally with visitors and staff to answer questions and provide directions as needed.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.

What We're Looking For :

Availability across various days and shifts

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements :

Be at least 21 years of age.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
