Job Summary :

The Westin Westminster is seeking a warm, professional, and guest-focused Host / Hostess to join our team at Spotted Donkey , our vibrant restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails at the full bar. Spotted Donkey is a very busy, high-volume restaurant , popular with both hotel guests and locals. As the first point of contact, the Host / Hostess sets the tone for the dining experience by welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth front-of-house operations.

Responsibilities :

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Manage reservations, wait lists, and seating assignments using the restaurant’s reservation system.
• Escort guests to tables and provide menus, ensuring seamless service flow.
• Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to optimize table turnover and guest experience.
• Answer guest questions regarding menu items, restaurant hours, and hotel amenities.
• Monitor the dining room and bar areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
• Assist with maintaining host stand and entry area, keeping it organized and guest-ready.
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism and escalate issues to management as needed.
• Support the service team during peak hours by helping with table resets, running food, or assisting as required.
